Member Services for the Flotilla Members of the Auxiliary includes training, public affairs, financial and personnel records, materials and supplies for present and new members, newsletters and formal monthly meetings. These functions are, for the most part, carried out by Flotilla Staff Officers appointed by the Flotilla Commander at the beginning of each year. The very survival of the flotilla depends upon how well these important functions are carried out. Each Flotilla Staff Officer has a counterpart at the next (Division) level that he can go to for support when needed. The Flotilla Staff Officers report to the Vice Flotilla Commander. The elected offices of the flotilla are Flotilla Commander and Vice Flotilla Commander. Candidates for both offices are nominated and elected by the members each year and serve one year terms. They may be re-elected but can serve only one more consecutive term.
