Search and Rescue

This is one of our rescues. It is a 23 foot Mako with three men aboard that suffered a blown out cylinder in its only engine about 46 miles south of Gulfport, Mississippi. It requested assistance from the Coast Guard and was picked up about 1830 hrs by an Auxiliary Operational Facility which was on Safety Patrol. It was then towed to the small boat launch in the Gulfport Harbor. Arrival time at the small boat launch occurred at 0130 hrs the next morning.
